To advance best practices and thought leadership on the transition to net zero, the EPRG is researching and promoting two areas of work.

The two dedicated working groups tackle key challenges in net zero implementation and propose front-running solutions. These solutions are promoted across the Race to Zero community through research and collaboration that engage a broader network of experts.

The EPRG, consisting of over 20 specialists, upholds the Race to Zero campaign's integrity. They provide advisory support to enhance commitments. It promotes thought leadership by addressing key net zero challenges in its working groups and recognises organisations navigating the net zero transition and implementing Race to Zero criteria.

This working group looks at professional services firms, such as legal entities, consultancies, and communication agencies, in the global net zero transition. It seeks to overcome implementation barriers, establish climate action principles, map stakeholders, and create guidelines aligned with Race to Zero's objectives.

Transparency & Reporting

Race to Zero supports partner initiatives in enhancing transparency on how they are managing their members and reporting progress through multiple mechanisms, including Race to Zero Annual Progress Report. 

Race to Zero helps strengthen the accountability of the net zero ecosystem, including in collaborating with UN Climate Change on the implementation of the Recognition & Accountability Framework (RAF)
