The Ministry of Cities' Sustainability Agenda encompasses a set of government initiatives that involve the Ministry's participation from a socio-environmental and climate perspective, including federal government policies, plans, and programs, as well as projects resulting from international cooperation agreements or agreements with financial institutions.

These initiatives cover several fronts, such as conducting studies, formulating policies and plans, promoting discussion forums, establishing partnerships, developing projects, and executing construction projects.

The Water Knowledge Hub is an online global knowledge sharing platform that supports water and climate professionals in designing, financing, implementing action towards improving climate-resilient water management. Hosting a wide range of knowledge products, including 80+ tools, 250+ case studies and 3,500+ resources, the Hub is one of the world’s leading repositories of knowledge on integrated water management and climate resilience.

Onda Verde (The Green Wave) is a digital platform created to connect and mobilize diverse stakeholders in support of decarbonization, fostering a sustainable and equitable economy in Brazil and beyond. It addresses the current challenges of the Brazilian green ecosystem, where actors remain poorly connected and data is fragmented, scattered, and difficult to update. The platform serves as the official low-carbon solutions bank for the UN Global Compact’s environmental initiatives in Brazil. It already features more than 1,500 mapped initiatives and offers curated solution profiles across all sectors of the green economy, including Forests and Land Use, Agriculture and Food Systems, Industry, Logistics and Mobility, Energy and Biofuels, Water and Sanitation, Waste Management, and the Financial Sector.

The GCFF Solutions Bank showcases scalable, investable climate innovations from SMEs across the Global South, demonstrating how local solutions can deliver systemic global impact. Featured cases include battery repurposing for clean energy access (Nunam, India), agroforestry intelligence platforms for carbon sequestration and food security (Courageous Land, Brazil), distributed solar for telecoms and industry (GridAfrica, Africa), solar refrigeration tackling food waste and gender empowerment (Koolboks, Nigeria), and solar leasing boosting resilience in the Caribbean (Soleco).

The Global Initiative for Climate Change Information Integrity, coordinated by UNESCO, launched its first partnership call to non-profit organizations to submit proposals addressing key challenges related to climate information. With an emphasis on the Global South, the initiative aims to foster a comprehensive understanding of phenomena such as disinformation, conspiracy theories, and orchestrated campaigns against well-established scientific knowledge.
